Technology in Africa
December 8, 2020Technology in Africa
Resources in Africa are very limited. Many people do not have access to drinking water and have to go for miles a day to distant wells. The infrastructure is not very developed there and it will not be at the level known in Europe for a long time. However, it should be remembered that the lack of some resources in Africa causes them to use what they have at hand. This means that Africans create their own Technology from everyday objects and even garbage. There are many examples. On the websites you can find information about the resulting innovative ideas and inventions. An example may be, for example, windmills, which will then be turned into a mill, or an old bicycle, which, after a few modifications, will facilitate sharpening the knives necessary for everyday work.
Imagination as the basis of development
Technology on this continent is developing very slowly due to limited finances and infrastructure. This forces the local residents to create everyday objects on their own. However, with the help of a few batteries and old aluminum cans, they can create a graceful radio, which is certainly an original and unique, but also a practical accessory. The Africans will use everything – fish cans, old shoes, strings, tubes, and many other items that are often considered rubbish on other continents. In this way, the standard of living is raised, and the difference for those inhabitants is huge. It is this life that many people do not experience and do not know about.
